The nervous system through which our external experience is processed from information gathered through our five senses:
Visual – Sight
Auditory – Hearing
Kinaesthetic – Feelings (touch)
Olfactory – Smell
Gustatory – Taste
This creates our first internal map of the external world.

The filtering we apply, the language we use, and our inbuilt patterns directly affect the way we think, feel, behave, and react to any given situation.
No two people will have had exactly the same experiences and so their model of the world will be different, however we still have a natural tendency to assume that other people think, perceive and act in the same way as we do or would, which can often lead to misunderstandings.
In reality we are as different on the inside as we are on the outside – who knew?
